Writing book two has been a challenge! I’m happy to say I have officially decided on a title, & a gorgeous cover is in the works! ‘Second Star to the Right,’ is set to be released hopefully early February! (mayyyybe sooner! We shall see!!)
There is so much more going on with Second Star to the Right! It’s a bit longer than Make Me Exist, and has so many new characters!
The real struggle has been having past & future versions of characters together in the same timeline. We have characters that are just starting their arcs, & their future versions who have finished their arcs. It’s an interesting mix of how much do your experiences make you who you are, and how much of your reactions are just you.
I really play off memories in book two, contrasting the idea that memories do or don’t make up who we become.
There is also the aspect of Cyran & Adriem’s shared thoughts-which has been intriguing to play with. If you could hear, see, & feel everything another person had going on in their heads—how would that affect a relationship? How would the two people interact with one another?
Cyran is faced with a lot in book two, & I do want to warn everyone-it get’s heavy. Be prepared to laugh out loud, fall in love, fall out of love, scream, cry, and travel (across the globe and maybe even into space a bit!)
Thank you for all my readers support with Make Me Exist, I am so excited to continue this adventure with you all in this four part series ❤
I always get so much inspiration while listening to music when I create scenes ❤️ playing each moment, gesture, thought & word out. Some of these songs have been listened to hundreds of times just to create a few pages. It’s only natural that the songs themselves would become chapter titles. Here is the line-up of chapters for book two (so far!). Excited to be a bit more then halfway done, with a first draft finish date of December 1st!
“Cyran and Charlotte are alive,” Roe insisted, his back turned to us as he gazed out over the moonlite laden field.
“There’s only one way to find out,” Dev piped up cheerfully, and the room felt as if it were perfectly still as my brother sent out waves of determination.
“I think it’s time to make me exist again,” I smiled at Dev across from me, the chameleon green of his eyes shining as I let the intense feeling of purpose take over. God he was so good at feeling out the room. “It’s time to rescue some lost girls from Neverland.”
